Special Orders...Requests

We have been getting a great amount of "Special Order...Requests" from our customers lately. Up until now we have tried to stay away from doing special orders to keep up with the demand we have on eBay. What we will be doing now, is, taking your requests and recording them in the order they come in. As we come across your size we will make the skirt and notify you. Because we deal with recycled jeans, we don't always find the sizes we need. Sometimes this takes a while to find. So if you are patient...you can now email us your measurements and style of skirt requests to us. Check out our eBay page About Our Sizing, for measuring tips. We work with your waist, hip, and length measurements when making each skirt, not the label size you usually wear.

As always, we will still try to keep a variety of sizes, of our skirts, available at our eBay Store. So keep checking back there, maybe your size will be posted next! Thank you for your patience in this matter. We hope to be creating a skirt for you soon!!!

Welcome...

I am proud to welcome my 14 yr. old daughter to "Born Again Jeans", as my new sewing partner. She has been helping with the construction and sewing of the skirts that you see here on the blog and on eBay for sometime now. Don't worry about looking closely to see if you can tell the difference or quality between my 20 years of sewing to her few years of sewing!!! I have a hard enough time telling our skirts apart, myself. : ) God knew that I would someday need help and thus gave her an incredible sewing talent to help me and to share herself with you. So Welcome my little one!!!

Our Newest Creations

Here are our Newest Creations that we have drummed over the last couple of weeks. Our first design is an old classic twist on the "Handkerchief " hem-line. It flares ever so beautifully and also creates an elegant train in back.

Our next design we'll call the "Random Ruffle", for lack of better name at this time : ). This skirt features an awesome pleated ruffle with a rolling, uneven hem-line. A great skirt for the one who dares to be Different!

All Tied Up...

...Have you ever thought about what can be done with out-of-style, vintage men's neckties? I've seen beautiful handbags and wallets made from them...so I ventured out to create a skirt honoring the old polyester, almost hidious old ties that grandpa used to wear! How fun it was to look through my collection of ties and pick out ones that complimented each other. Isn't it funny how something so ugly can suddenly bring on so much beauty, when given a second chance to do so? Something like our lives...God also gives us second chances to become something better too. : )

It's Amazing...

...what can become of a tossed aside pair of jeans. The soft faded areas, textures, and character of the denim, summons the design within. Ideas are endless to what can be created. Here are some of my "One of a Kind" designs.

"No More Chains"...

This has got to be one of my favorite creations thus far. It was designed for a special customer who had a song that meant so much to her that she wanted a skirt designed around it. I love a challange and this surely was one. It took quite some time for Inspiration to come, (like a couple of months), but when it came, this skirt went together as I could have never done on my own. In short, this skirt became, literally, a walking testimony of the freedom that comes through knowing Christ...No More Chains!
